This mixed-methods pilot study investigated a 12-week social media skills intervention for 17 adults with acquired brain injury (ABI), combining a self-guided training course with participation in a private, moderated Facebook group. Results showed significant improvements in participants’ confidence and enjoyment in using Facebook, although no significant changes were found in overall quality of life, despite reported perceived benefits of social connection. The findings suggest the intervention is feasible and acceptable, with recommendations for future implementation including active peer moderation and individualised delivery approaches.
