This study explored the perspectives of speech-language pathologists (SLPs) and VR specialists on using virtual reality (VR) for rehabilitating cognitive-communication disorders (CCDs) after traumatic brain injury (TBI). Fourteen SLPs and three VR experts participated in online interviews or focus groups, discussing potential uses of VR, as well as barriers and facilitators to its implementation. Thematic analysis identified three main themes: VR could enhance clinical practice, potential risks and red flags need consideration, and strategies exist to overcome implementation challenges. Overall, participants were interested in VR for CCD rehabilitation, with the findings providing guidance for future research and development in this area.
