Training Resources Targeting Social Media Skills to Inform Rehabilitation for People Who Have an Acquired Brain Injury: Scoping Review

This scoping review examined research, web-based resources, and online support groups related to social media skills for people with acquired brain injury (ABI), finding 47 academic articles, 48 training websites, and 120 support groups. Results highlighted the need for interactive, practical training addressing cybersafety, platform use, and social connection, but no resources were specifically accessible or relevant for people with ABI. These findings identify key content and design features to guide the development of safe, evidence-based web-based social media training for this population.
