interact-ABI-lity
Welcome to interact-ABI-lity – a program which provides information and strategies to help you interact more successfully with people with a brain injury.
interact-ABI-lity is the world’s only self-guided communication partner training program to cover different communication changes that happen after brain injury. Communication partner training is an internationally recommended best practice for brain injury rehabilitation.
interact-ABI-lity is based on world-leading research evidence from TBI Express and TBIconneCT. We are testing if this new self-guided format is helpful for communication partners. interact-ABI-lity is part of the Social Brain Toolkit.

This free program is designed for family members, friends, support workers, and professionals working in brain injury. It takes about 2 hours to complete in full. Or, you can choose to only complete parts that interest you. You don’t have to complete the program in one go. The website will keep track of what you complete so you can continue your learning at any time.
We are interested in continuing to improve this program as part of our ongoing research. When you sign up, you may choose whether or not to participate in a research study approved by the University of Sydney. You can read more about this research study here.
This program was developed as part of a collaboration between The University of Sydney, University of Technology Sydney, Brain Injury Australia and Changineers, with funding support from icare NSW.
